Alex Moore is a New York City based artist currently focusing exclusively on polaroid photography. Working with an analog format of photography, he employs classical compositions to capture the energy of his subjects in their purest form.
Alex’s latest series of work is from his most recent trip to Tulum, Mexico. After returning to New York, he began the process of enlarging his polaroid photographs. In his own words, “By reworking the medium: scanning in the original polaroids and then transferring them onto large scale aluminum panels, I wanted to highlight the importance of size, process, medium, and presentation when viewing a work of art. It is very enlightening for me to elevate a vintage 4 inch polaroid to a much larger, sleeker scale and in doing so reveal how the public’s perception shifts as well.”
